Digital Print Specialist

TPH of Toronto, ON is seeking to hire a full-time Digital Print Specialist,  to join our team. The Digital Print Specialist is responsible for the Pre-flight and production of the digital printing needs of our customers. They ensure that each customer's project is properly printed onto the requested substrate.

As a Digital Print Specialist, you are key to the successful printing of our customers' digital products. Before starting each project you select substrates based on what the client has requested. You complete the colour calibration of the press and add special layers for spot UV varnishes as well as white, metallic silver, and metallic gold inks. As you operate the press, you enjoy creating high-quality final prints. Your attention to detail is essential as you review work orders for accuracy, completeness, and quality control. When unexpected challenges arise, you utilize your innovative-problem solving skills to troubleshoot and consult teammates to find solutions.   • Experience with operating digital presses such as Xerox CP 1000, Versant 880, or Ricoh 7110x
  • Knowledge of Specialty dry inks such as clear, metallic gold, metallic silver, and white
  • Experience working with DFE's such as Fiery, DocuSP, or others
  • Understanding of the Pantone system, CMYK and RGB colour spaces
  • Knowledge of substrates such as paper, card stocks, synthetics and adhesives
  • Basic skills using Acrobat Pro, Pit Stop, Illustrator, InDesign and PhotoShop
  • Basic skills managing fonts using Extensis PC and Mac
