ACCOUNTABILITY


The Manager, People Programs is an integral part of our Home Office team responsible for developing and leading talent strategies that support the company in achieving organizational goals and objectives. This role is accountable for developing and implementing optimal people programs that ensure TPH has the ready-now supply of talent to exceed customer expectations.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and execute functional talent strategies in support of the overall strategic plan such as talent acquisition, talent management, total rewards, recognition and engagement that collectively reinforce the reputation of TPH as a destination for talent.
  • Clear analysis, understanding and presentation of the ROI and business enhancement of all People initiatives taking into account incremental costs and forecasted impact on business outcomes.
  • Partner with functional teams to identify and optimize structures, competencies and processes required to support the business in optimizing performance. Identify and pursue opportunities to increase the satisfaction and retention of employees; ensuring engagement and ongoing professional development with an emphasis on continuous improvement, learning and accountability.
  • Building and leading an employee engagement survey and management process.
  • Identifying strategic trends and best practices in human resources and adopt those which support the organization's strategic objectives and culture. Build and execute culture and recognition programs, including development, stakeholder management and the execution of program support and management.
  • Partner with the appropriate internal governance bodies to oversee the development and maintenance of all People related compliance programs, ensuring legislative compliance is exceeded.
  • Proactively review and provide guidance on policy changes, balancing the consideration of business needs with emerging trends and legislation.
  • Facilitate change management efforts for new People Programs and managing change communications when required and appropriate.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5-8 years of People-related experience at a management level.
  • Proven experience providing People support for a 100+ consumer-facing locations and
    comparable complexity.
  • Multi-site and multi-Province experience with the ability to adapt to a more fluid branch model
    versus one requiring conformation to rigid standardization.
  • Well versed in People technical and functional skills demonstrated by advanced knowledge of
    HR practices including talent acquisition and management, compensation, recognition and
    rewards and employee relations.
  • Demonstrable ability to assess organizational needs and trends and develop corresponding
    People solutions to enhance the business and drive performance.
  • Capable of making decisions under schedule and performance pressure while driving internal and
    external organizations to execute those decisions in a timely manner.
  • Well versed at handling multiple data sets and inputs from the organization and easily flex from
    program developer to hands on executor as required.
  • Ability to manage the relationships with various stakeholders and be a strategic influencer and
    thoughtful negotiator.
  • Presents a confident and consistent approach and always leaves a positive impression, even when
    dealing with difficult issues.
  • Absolutely unquestioned personal ethics/integrity/honesty and the willingness to demand the
    same from his/her partners.
  • Professional Association designation/certifications in Human Resources (e.g. CHRP, CHRL,
    Practitioner Member, CHRM) or equivalent.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
